ONE THE WATERFRONT

Stoddart Infrastructure recently supplied and installed a series of custom shelters and Town & Park outdoor furniture for the large communal recreational space in front of the apartment buildings at One The Waterfront residential development in Wentworth Point, Sydney NSW. The client had a specific custom design in mind for a number of widespan park shelters to accompany the outdoor furniture and barbecue facilities requested.

Working closely with Urbis Landscape Architects and Piety THP, Stoddart was able to achieve the envisioned ambitious four-metre roof span and thin profile aesthetic, while maintaining structural performance, and integrating drainage and a flat aluminium soffit, all in a bolt-together arrangement with barely visible join lines.

Inspired by butterflies, the large-span ‘wing’ design with central posts provides ample covered area for Stoddart Town & Park Metro Table settings, with further Metro benches and bins adjacent to the structures. The elements provide a mixture of steel, aluminium and hardwood timber, and feature a striking satin charcoal finish.
