FLOATING HOTEL

24 Jun 2015

An award-winning design for a floating hotel that also doubles as a yacht gives guests the best of both worlds and provides the perfect solution for tourism.

Can’t decide between a sailing adventure and a luxury hotel by the water for your next holiday? Now you don’t have to choose.

Designed by Serbian yacht designers Salt & Water, this floating hotel is the ultimate concept for a new and unique waterfront accommodation design.

Created as a series of interconnected personal catamarans, these private compartments can be enjoyed as a floating hotel, or can sail away into the big blue as your own private yacht.

Winner of the 2015 Millennium Yacht Design Awards, this design is comprised of a series of individual catamarans, each containing a living room, kitchen and bathroom, as well as an upstairs sleeping area. Offering floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-air front deck, these rounded ‘pods’ are designed to gracefully glide through the gentle inland waters of Serbia. Providing all the comforts of home, your yacht-pod allows you to connect to the stunning beauty of the landscape in perfect privacy.

When you’ve had enough solitude and wish to participate in the many amenities offered by the hotel, you simply dock your pod at the central structure and avail yourself of the restaurants and cafes on location. Full hotel facilities are available, including a reception area and events hall, while you’re docked.

As a concept idea, this floating hotel provides a perfect waterfront solution. Salt & Water describe it as “a perfect solution for tourism without any violation of the natural harmony of the place itself.”
