Tree grates used to be manufactured from cast aluminium or cast iron in a standard fixed pattern box. Although this produced a strong, functional grate, the sizes and designs available were restricted. The demand for a more versatile, sleek, and decorative alternative to the old cast aluminium grates has grown significantly in recent years.

Urban Fountains & Furniture (UrbanFF) has met this demand by developing a stylish range of tree grates that are stronger and more practical than cast aluminium grates. You can choose from one of their popular standard designs or they can manufacture a custom grate to suit your individual project.

As the direct manufacturer, all UrbanFF grates are made to order and fabricated in its manufacturing facility in Queensland, enabling a more personalised service tailored to specific requirements. UrbanFF is able to manufacture to any size, shape or pattern, and can even incorporate logos and emblems or provide mounting provisions for lights. All UrbanFF tree grates come with a standard powder-coat finish, or can be completed with an Australian Standards approved anti-slip finish.

UrbanFF manufacture certified tree grates to meet the AS3996:2006 load-rated specifications, which can support loads from 300kg to 20 tonne in areas where vehicle access is required.
