TROPICAL OASIS LANDSCAPING AT NEW SOCIAL QUARTER

Ace Landscape Services were engaged by Hacer Group to deliver the soft landscape and irrigation package for this new precinct. Works included the supply and installation of garden bed drainage, BioGro premium lightweight soil mix, state-of-the-art irrigation system and specialised plant stock to create an ambient tropical oasis fitting for an indoor-outdoor dining and entertainment experience at The Social Quarter.

Vicinity Centres enlisted landscape architects and multidisciplinary design collective Lat Studios, on the precinct’s design, which includes a new undulating bronzed aluminium “art facade” by Australian painter Matthew Johnson that encases an existing multilevel car park, atop which some of The Social Quarter has been built. Ace worked closely with the landscape architect and client to match the design intention of the venue with the plant stock that could be secured in the size required to provide the instant impact required for this venue.

Landscape works commenced on the site in December 2022 and operated on an accelerated program to meet the delivery dates of the client. With a peak workforce of around 20 workers working extended hours, ACE successfully completed the works in time to meet the official opening in early March. Ace Landscape Services are also responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the area for 12 months from completion and will undertake this work with its dedicated maintenance team.
