TRIDENT BLUE CONQUERS LANDSCAPING

26 Jul 2018

Looking for a striking and unique plant that requires minimal care for your next outdoor landscaping project? Trident Blue could be that plant! An easy-care ground cover with a beautiful colour and an intriguing shape, this plant is similar to Blue Chalk Sticks but includes a wider range of benefits. Find out more now.

Senecio Trident Blue (PBR) is a beautiful and low maintenance ground cover option. It’s powdery blue-grey leaves display a unique shape that will ensure it stands out in any landscape. Bred by Attila Kapitany, Trident Blue is easy to grow and has low water and maintenance requirements.

Trident Blue's thick, elongated leaves have a glaucous powdery finish and come to a point in a lance-like shape, similar to the mythical Greek God Poseidon's trident. Spreading up to one metre wide, this ground cover variety is well suited for mass plantings or as a feature plant among other bold colours, allowing it to really show off the foliage form and colour.

Trident Blue has many similarities to Blue Chalk Sticks, but the more compact growth habit and low growing foliage make it a cut above this popular soft landscaping option. It also thrives in a wide range of soil types, including sandy and heavy soils, proving it to be a highly versatile plant with plenty of growth opportunities.

Additionally, Trident Blue is ideal for soil stabilisation, erosion control and weed suppression, making it the most logical choice for soft landscaping in any outdoor space.

Trident Blue stays stunning all year round, retaining its colour and texture no matter the season. It is drought tolerant and has low maintenance requirements, with only a light seasonal trim needed for the pale-yellow flowers that are produced in spring.

As an added bonus, for every Trident Blue label sold in Australia, Ramm Botanicals donates 10c to BeyondBlue, an organisation that provides information and support on mental health to all Australians.

Trident Blue is a clear stand-out from similar varieties and is an absolute must for any landscape. Contact Ramm Botanicals today to find out how you can add this incredible plant to your next landscaping project.
