The Sustainable Sydney 2030 project came to life after residents, workers and businesses were asked what kind of city they wanted to live in. When the majority of answers came back aimed at environmental care, strong economy, supporting the arts and representing more international cultures, the Sustainable Sydney 2030 came to life.
The project is focused on six categories:
- Built environment
- Business and economy
- Culture and creativity
- Environmental action
- Governance and decision-making
- People and communities
Embarking on the ten-year plan, Sydney-siders will start to see changes throughout their city. With more arts and culture popping up around Sydney Harbour to environmentally conscious action taken in businesses, it will be an interesting ten years of change to the public spaces of Sydney.
