Stormtech’s popular, efficient and affordable outdoor drainage solutions offer architectural drainage options for an array of commercial applications.
Stormtech, the inventors of the linear drain, is an Australian-made and owned manufacturing success story, proudly manufacturing commercial and residential drainage solutions. Part of their extensive collection is an award-winning outdoor range, which includes the Special Assembly, Slot Drain and Threshold Series.
With its narrow profile, Stormtech’s 65AG100 and 38AG90 Special Assembly products feature a high capacity drainage system that allows flexibility in landscape and pool design and construction, including wet-edge or infinity pool forms. This patented manifold drainage system reduces the need for traditional wider grating outdoors.
The Special Assembly range is composed of a PVC channel with outlets every 200mm and connected via downpipes to corresponding sockets in the pipe below. This allows the channel to be installed level, while the pipe is given sufficient fall to be self-cleaning.
This drainage system is used in areas requiring superior rates of drainage, where a standard 38G or 65G, featuring an outlet every 1 or 2 meters, will not allow the removal of large enough quantities of water. The Special Assembly is completed with stainless steel grates from the AR Series (architectural grate) or PS Series (slotted versions). The Special Assembly is the preferred drain for pool surrounds, courtyards and large, level areas such as pedestrian areas, sporting grounds or carparks.
Further to Stormtech’s outdoor manifold range, is the SD90 slot drain — the original slot drain, with a 25mm opening concealing a 90mm drainpipe that doesn’t require a stainless-steel grate. However, the PVC insert can be replaced with a sleek 25mm stainless steel architectural grate. The SD90 slot drain is a sleek and seamless detailed draining system suitable for stormwater runoff and surface water drainage in courtyards, paved areas and pools surrounds.
As a passageway bringing the outdoors in, Stormtech’s Threshold drain was designed to eliminate the trip-and-slip hazards of stepdown partitions, delivering uninterrupted access between indoor and outdoor living areas. The low-profile design consists of an external lineal grate that sits flush beside the doortrack, in precise alignment with the ground surface. An integrated, concealed, subsill collects water-flow and condensation around the doorway, conveying it to the external drainage system.
MODULAR VS MADE-TO-LENGTH
Stormtech drains are available as modular systems with stainless steel or PVC channels, or as made-to-length systems that will be manufactured to specific lengths. All grates are manufactured from 316-marine-grade stainless steel and available in eight different grate designs.
The company works with regulators, legislators, end-users, trades and distributors to develop problem-solving products and welcomes any questions about product selection and compliance.
All Stormtech products are Australian-made and WaterMarked Certified. With a proud commitment to eco-friendly design, Stormtech offers the only linear drainage products in the world with Global GreenTag Certification. To find out more visit Stormtech via the tags below.
