STODDART OUTFITS COBBLEBANK STATION

05 Mar 2020

Taking on the latest station in a major civil works project, the Ballarat Line Upgrade, Stoddart has provided a suite of standard and bespoke transport shelters and platform furniture to keep people moving comfortably.

Part of the Ballarat Line Upgrade project, Cobblebank Station is a modern and accessible transport platform built in the suburb’s future town centre. The addition of this station will help to cater for the growing population of Melbourne’s outer west, taking pressure off Melton Station.

The staffed station features two platforms connected by an accessible pedestrian overpass, a 190-space sealed carpark, station amenities, drop-off zones including taxi stations, secure bike storage, and CCTV monitoring and lighting.

Stoddart Infrastructure was contracted by Lend Lease and Coleman Rail to supply and install shelters and street furniture for the bus interchange at Cobblebank Station. The project included a vast number of shelters, bins, pedestrian barriers, seats, benches, drinking fountains and bicycle infrastructure.

In total, Stoddart has contributed over 550 pieces of furniture along the Ballarat Line Upgrade, selected from the Town & Park standard range furniture for installation on various platforms, and complemented by a bespoke furniture suite in the forecourts. The material palette utilised for the furniture suites consists of aluminium, galvanised steel and stainless steel.

Stoddart also supplied transport shelters, including 12 PTV-approved Evo Shelters for two accompanying bus interchanges at Cobblebank and Rockbank, and the forecourts at Ballan and Bacchus Marsh. In addition, Stoddart installed Bicycle Network-approved furniture at Rockbank, Cobblebank and Ballan Stations.

Stoddart Infrastructure and Town & Park street furniture offer an extensive range of products to provide complete project solutions for all outdoor infrastructure needs. From design, engineering and manufacture to installation and project management, Stoddart gives customers peace of mind, knowing they will always get the most innovative outdoor infrastructure solutions.

Stoddart Infrastructure products include transport shelters, walkways, bicycle infrastructure, park shelters, street furniture and perforated metalwork, throughout Australia and New Zealand. Visit the Stoddart Infrastructure website or call 1300 557 654 for more information.
