Social and Affordable Housing Development in Perth

Lot 52 Pier Street, Perth, is set to become an inner-city apartment complex dedicated to social and affordable housing, via the Build-to-Rent Model.

Social and Affordable Housing Development in Perth

Incorporating a mix of social, affordable and market housing, Lot 52 will be owned and operated by a Community Housing Provider.

This development marks a new partnership between the State and Federal Governments, delivering more than 200 new homes in Perth to West Australians in need. Creating a safe and affordable place to those needing homes, Lot 52 will house 219 new apartments, 30% of which will be social rental homes (66 apartments) and 20% affordable rental homes (44 apartments).

The Federal Government's Housing Australia will contribute funding of $88.6 million from the National Housing Infrastructute Facility (NHIF), while the State Government will contribute up to $40.6 million.

Located close to shops, schools and public transport, Lot 52's access to some of Perth's best lifestyle attractions is part of the design ethos, bringing activity and vibrancy to community housing, and diversifying the structure of Perth's innercity housing.

This project is the first of the Build-to-Rent model delivered by DevelopmentWA, with internation design practice Hassell leading the design team.
