Several production sites provide diverse growing conditions and climates, enabling a wider range of plant material to be grown. Andreasens grow a vast range of species in sizes ranging from tubestock to super advanced trees and ex-ground material.
Andreasens has been involved in a wide range of projects over the years, supplying all levels of government, residential and commercial projects across the east coast of Australia including many of Sydney’s iconic sites such as Darling Harbour and Sydney Olympic Park. Today, Andreasens Green is proudly managing the plant supply for a new era of iconic projects across Sydney. Andreasens recently completed the plant supply of One Central Park, Broadway.
Andreasens’ proven success as a Pre-Grow Specialist secured it the plant supply contract for the new 6-Headland Park at Barangaroo. In October 2010, Andreasens Green was awarded the contract to provide the 675 trees, 2,212 shrubs and 70, 099 groundcovers. A four-year growing contract was required to ensure adequate time to produce the advanced trees needed to create immediate impact and layered canopy effect upon the Park’s opening. In addition, the Headland Park Design team created a plant palette involving a wide range of indigenous species, many that are not commonly grown on a commercial scale. The Pre-Grow contract would allow for specialist seed collectors and propagation teams to harvest local provenance material from across Sydney and place this into production for supply. Andreasens are now in the full delivery phase of this stock. Barangaroo Point will open in July 2015.
