The $20 million project funded by the Victorian government, federal government and Puffing Billy Railway is projected to rejuvenate the visitors centre, one of the main attractions at Emerald Lake Park. The project also includes a café, function spaces, public toilets and a retail section. The multifaceted visitors centre is a great place for a family weekend day out or school excursion.
Ace Contractors Group constructed the hardscaping and softscaping on the project. As well as walkways, trackside landscaping, timber decking and carpark upgrades. Native trees and plants were used throughout the soft landscaping and tree planting phases as to connect the project to its surrounding Australian bush environment.
With setbacks during COVID19 and onsite troubles, Ace Contractors Group has delivered a natural and innovative design for the Puffing Billy Project that blends into the surrounding environment and enables a one-of-a-kind visitor centre experience to this Emerald Lake Park attraction.

Yet, at all times the team has been proactive in their approach, polite, professional and importantly, fun to work with. If the other staff are half as good you will no doubt have a lot of satisfied customers”.
