The project was designed by Webb Australia and Buckford Illumination Group, providing a high performance designed lighting solution with the recognised quality and performance of WE-EF LED luminaires and SOLARTECHNIQ high quality solar panel, battery and control options. Poles were provided by Galvanised Poles Australia.
There are three 4.5m pole mounted units in the project, each with a WE-EF VFL 540 24W LED luminaire with motion sensing operation providing light when required and multi-day operation in the event of low solar radiation. The solar components are mounted on a single pole at the western end of the park with 24V power connected underground to the other two poles.
This project exemplifies the SOLARTECHNIQ goal of providing quality lighting outcomes with infrastructure quality components powered by solar. Much of the solar lighting infrastructure they see fails to deliver in both of these areas.
A critical feature of the offer is the WE-EF luminaire which incorporates: Marine grade die-cast aluminium alloy; 5CE corrosion protection system; PCS® polymer coated stainless steel hardware; RFC® reflection free contour; ECG electronic; 10kV/10kA high performance SPD. Additionally, WE-EF IOS (Innovative Optical System) provides five different distribution options to optimise lighting and energy management outcomes.
