Located in four areas around Green Square, each illuminating sculpture lights up when the sun rises in four other countries related to the community’s country of origin. Highlighting the connection between all places, the sculptures are a playful work of art for all to enjoy.

Rehberger is an internationally recognised artist with over 30 years of experience. His work often revolves around multiculturalism and this artwork particularly is a reminder that we all live under the same sun. Connecting its viewers to different parts of the world, the sculptures are a part of the City of Sydney’s Green Square public art strategy that is being curated by Amanda Sharrad.

This one-of-a-kind installation is connected to four international locations. These include:

All four of the illuminating sculptures serve as an ode to the community and being connected to the people around you. With accompanying plant life and seating around the artwork, viewers can watch the sculptures illuminate and enjoy the playful and inviting public space.
