GREEN PLAY AT CLOVERLEA

24 Feb 2016

Fleming’s creates a lush green playspace in the new estate of Cloverlea, expertly reflecting the belief in the influence of ‘green’ on our daily lives in creating a healing environment.

Experts continue to state that the presence of green in our daily lives has the power to heal, invigorate, soothe, de-stress and fight the blues, which is why smart developers are engaging The Fleming’s Group to enhance their estates with a relaxing scene of green.

A growing emphasis on plant life in the urban environment was one reason developers from one of Melbourne’s newest communities, Cloverlea, in Melbourne’s Chirnside Park, engaged Fleming’s to create their outdoor landscape.

Fleming’s approach to creating central avenue planting, streets, parks and entertaining spaces together is all about enhancing the soft landscape, and with their expert knowledge on the ‘right tree for the right location’, has delivered a harmonious sanctuary, rich in canopy cover and soothing green vistas for Cloverlea.

First impressions are everything, and Cloverlea’s main boulevard was planted with hardy ornamental pears and mature maple trees with a thick understory planting of various grasses and nandina that are vibrant year-round and add colour and interest at varying times of the year.

The parkland at Cloverlea is the real standout of the project with a swathe of play equipment offset by natural features and plenty of open space to run and play. The children’s park includes quirky features such as brightly coloured ‘pencil’ posts, loads of natural materials for play equipment, lots of interactive climbing frames and trees that will grow to provide natural canopy and enhance the lush natural feel of the park in years to come.
