FLEMING'S ASPIRE TO GREAT HEIGHTS

14 Apr 2022

Fleming’s Landscapes, a business born out of Fleming’s Nurseries and now one of Melbourne’s most dynamic and innovative landscaping business, is creating magic in Melbourne’s west with the delivery of another stunning park.

Designed and built by Fleming’s Landscapes, Villawood Properties’ Aspire Park is set to impress with residents from across the western suburbs. With a focus on balancing parkland beauty with playground fun, Fleming’s landscape design house – Flow Design Studio, worked with the constraints of the site including a drainage overflow pass to increase the value of the landscape.

A stunning selection of Fleming’s trees and plants can also be found in the park which is set for completion in April 2022. The park aims to please with a variety of play with a plethora of fun and engaging elements. The toddler and children’s playspaces include a decidedly enchanted forest vibe with cute goblin and gnome inspired play equipment from Activity Playgrounds such as swings, climbing forests featuring slides and adventure play.

The youth area includes a half basketball court and chill zone with grind bars for skating and an area to hang out with friends. The shelter area overlooks that space providing parents and groups a gathering place to mingle while still able to observe the youngsters at play. Paths weave throughout the park providing ample opportunity to connect with the outdoor areas, while an open space area is perfect for playing, picnicking, walking the family pet or kicking the footy.

The beauty of Fleming’s in a project is the end-to-end engagement in all processes with a world class production nursery at the core of the operation, the plants and trees take centre stage.  Trees across the park include a balanced selection of native and ornamental trees including the hardy Fraxinus (Ash) and Ulmus parvifolia ‘Todd’ (Elm) as well as impressive Angophora costata, while a feature Fig tree, Ficus rubiginosa, will grow into a stately icon in the years to come. Garden beds are filled with shrubs and ground covers that will not only cope with the conditions but work to soften and enhance the park.
