Timber Creations Nature Play design and build play structures and spaces to suit your specific needs. Sometimes you want to pick from existing designs, but sometimes you need something really special and one-off, and Timber Creations can do both.

For playgrounds that have an existing awkward space, the team from Timber Creations can provide a consultation and make suggestions to make the space more exciting and usable. A great example of this was done at a childcare centre in Penrith, turning a stone retaining wall from a rarely used dirt patch into a beautiful imaginative pirate ship playspace!

Lots of schools and childcare centres come to Timber Creations with ideas for play structures that they cannot find anywhere else, such as treehouses, rustic wooden forts and natural timber climbers. Timber Creations work with the community to bring these ideas to life and children love having something just for them to explore.

Another common request is for custom themes and mascots. At Samuel Gilbert Public School, architect Fiona Robbe was engaged to create a huge Stone Age themed playground complete with ochre pits, teepees and dinosaurs! Timber Creations built all the structures, including a rock-lifting dinosaur with carriage on a mound and an imaginative foot-powered car!

Windale Public School had a full playground revamp in its preschool, which included a giant whale climber designed and built by Timber Creations. Multi-use, this structure can be an adventurous climber, a cubby, an obstacle course and an imaginative underwater friend! It’s high enough for children to hang upside down, and wide enough for a cubby picnic, and the tail is a jump-off platform or seat!

The Community of Keilor Downs enjoy a bird’s nest climber and lookout fort, a bespoke request from the Brimbank City Council to represent local birdlife. Timber Creations had the design pre-certified by a playground safety auditor due to the complexity of the structure, made to look like the collected sticks of a nest.
