Andrew Smith Timber Creations is a leader in ‘nature play’ equipment and natural timber landscape sculptures. Started by craftsman and educator Andrew Smith in 2010, the company creates child-focused, long-lasting, durable and unique play equipment and sculptures from local Australian hardwoods.
At the heart of Andrew Smith Timber Creations is a love of play, a focus on child development, and mindfulness of environmental sustainability.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The team at Andrew Smith Timber Creations produces bespoke timber play equipment and sculptures to suit the individual client. They create a huge range of hardwood elements, from small portable pieces to huge multi-level play structures. The experienced and knowledgeable team provides unique personalised design services and will work with architects and engineers to adhere to project design specifications.
Timber Creations also provide professional installation services, meeting Australian Standards for Playground Safety AS4685.

COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE

The elements from Andrew Smith Timber Creations are constructed predominantly from Durability Grade 1 Australian timbers. These timbers are sustainably sourced from discarded trees that have been condemned, rescued and then converted into the required sections.
The company also provides an assessment service to determine the suitability of clients’ onsite trees and timber. Approved materials can subsequently be used to create unique play elements and sculptures back on the site from which they came.
