Jeremy Ferrier Landscape Architects recently used 17,000 cobbles in three colours (Chalk, Ash and Coalface) to give life to a coloured concrete driveway in a luxury apartment complex in Brisbane. The three colours were laid in a tightly detailed pattern, which not only gave strong visual relief but also served to delineate walkways and apartment entrances. The developer client was delighted with the result.

If you’re looking for large-scale pavers, Stone Directions has that covered as well. Two new supersized rectangular concrete pavers round out the range. The 1000mm x 300mm x 50mm is a long, slender paver that has a strong, directional feel. And the solid, chunky 800mm x 400mm x 40mm paver has a look of substance, but the rectangular format still maintains a contemporary upmarket feel.
