BESPOKE STRUCTURES HELP PARK SHINE

In the planning and design process since 2014, Sunvale Community Park is a $3.6 million development that was enhanced by several bespoke structures and elements delivered by Stoddart Infrastructure. This extensive project was delivered by Stoddart in partnership with the Victorian state government, Melbourne Water, Brimbank City Council, Friends of Sunvale Community Group, and Simpson Construction.

Stoddart designed and constructed the large-scale pavilion and barbecue shelters, which both feature a polycarbonate roof and perforated soffit for ultimate performance. Stoddart also constructed a custom timber stage beneath the pavilion, with provisions for electrical and audio services.

To double as a barbecue food preparation space, Stoddart constructed a high-security UV-services cabinet clad in recycled timber to sit alongside the installed public barbecues. In addition, XLERPLATE^® weathering-steel cladding was supplied to wrap the outside of the prefabricated public amenities block.

The overall design of the recreation structures and material elements provided by Stoddart complement the Community Park, which comprises a playspace, water-play facilities, informal sports spaces, outdoor gym and a skate park to service a growing community.
