BARANGAROO GETS BUFF

The owners of Capricorn have over 50 years combined experience and knowledge in the quarrying and manufacturing of sandstone in Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. Their stonemasonry team is highly skilled, specialising in all forms of restoration, ornamental and new-build stonemasonry.

One of their most recent contracts was the supply of over 400 tonnes of Capricorn Buff Sandstone to the Sydney Barangaroo project. Their hand finished, quality sandstone was utilised in the Bushwalk Café. It was also employed in the Munn Reserve Amphitheatre, completing the step treads and seating blocks with stylish durability.

Capricorn extracts its stone from A-grade material suitable for commercial, restoration and export projects, as well as landscape material used for retaining walls and landscaping. Surplus materials are used for crushing fill type projects. They can cut and supply stone to suit commercial building needs, or their skilled stonemasonry team can cut to exact dimensions to complete any front and edge finishes required for a project.

The extensive range of products available from Capricorn includes sawn dimension stone, carved panels, paving, walling and retaining wall boulders for commercial products, to landscape features, capping, cladding, decorative panels or door frames for residential projects. In addition, Capricorn has supplied cut restoration sandstone for heritage projects since 1994.
