The client requested a fully retractable shading solution with easy operation to provide maximise use of the 6.5m wide and 14m extension for over the outdoor pool located in this modern backyard area.

But at the same time, also providing adequate shade. This is especially true where seasonal and family use of the pool is required. Often sunlight and warmth are required in cooler months for thermal comfort and the solar effect on pool water. This fully retractable shade system offers this option by being able to be retracted when required. This was completed with minimal structural support and was achieved with stunning results in the end.
