Boasting a 1.6ha sweeping hilltop park, Altrove is one of Stockland's newest, most outstanding residential communities in NSW, with a community focus on health, wellbeing and a high quality of life.

To be involved in this project was a privilege for Fleetwood Urban, who worked in close collaboration with Stockland to develop several prominent components, including the play tower and a range of shelters.

The Hilltop Park play tower is an icon for the Altrove community; standing at nearly 14 metres high and situated at the peak of the hill, this spectacular structure provides clear views across Sydney's northwest. The tower consists of multiple poles in a circular rotation that hold up the viewing deck and conceal the spiralling staircase.

The viewing platform consists of FRP decking and is surrounded by a 1-metre-high balustrade and safety mesh, allowing for a practically unobstructed 360° view of the surrounding landscape. A sloped roof tops off the structure and creates a practical and artistic finish.

The main feature of the structure is a 30-metre stainless steel slide that winds away from the top of the tower and finishes in the heart of the park.

Complimenting the parkland is a range of Leios shelters and restrooms from Fleetwood Urban’s Mod range. The Leios shelter is robust and strong, while maintaining a streamlined and aesthetically pleasing appearance to allow for a range of uses. Leios provides an opportunity for the designers to refine their ongoing approach to public architecture by creating something that is direct and lean, yet exciting and elegant.

Sleek, modern and minimalistic, the range of facilities at Altrove Hilltop Park from Fleetwood Urban create a stunning parkspace that both children and adults alike will love and use for years to come.
