A NEW BEAUTY

16 Mar 2016

Ausflora is proud to announce the release of a new selection of dwarf flowering plant – Leucadendron ‘Bella’s Buttons’ – that is drought tolerant and frost resistant.

A new selection developed in the Ausflora Pacific nursery, Leucadendron ‘Bella’s Buttons’ is a lovely dwarf variety, with a rounded growth habit and stunning yellow foliage with red centres in late winter/early spring.

Bella’s Buttons grows 45cm x 45cm and is suitable for mass planting, garden borders, feature planting, and suitable for growing in pots.

As with most Leucadendrons, ‘Bella’s Buttons’ is drought tolerant and frost resistant to -5˚C.

Bella’s Buttons will be one of the varieties Ausflora Pacific is contributing to the Tree & Shrub Growers display garden at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) 2016.

Some tips for growing Leucadendron ‘Bella’s Buttons’:

  • Requires free draining soil
  • Soil should be slightly acidic
  • A good pruning once a year before next year’s growth appears (usually Sept-Nov) will help maintain size and shape.
  • Prefers full sun

Bella’s Buttons will be available in 140mm size from March 2016.

Ausflora Pacific has been supplier of plants and cut flowers to Landscapers, Wholesalers, Retailers and Growers for over 30 years.

If you would like more information about ‘Bella’s Buttons’ and other varieties available at Ausflora Pacific please contact our friendly sales team on 03 5968 1650 or visit www.ausflorapacific.com.au
