WATERPROOFED POOL WITH A VIEW

This Mount Martha home has taken advantage of the sea views from its property and installed an above ground swimming pool on its garden edge. In collaboration with the builders of the home, Privilege Homes, SWP were contacted to provide the waterproofing and finish to the pool preparing it for its final stage before use.

The interior and exterior of the above ground pool was waterproofed using Maxseal Flex M plus a final coating of Concreseal Plastering. First Maxseal Flex M, a cement based flexible waterproofing product, was applied to a wet substrate. Maxseal Flex M is a perfect product when applying waterproofing in wet weather conditions.

Maxrest, a quick 20-minute setting non shrink mortar, was than applied to fill the gaps and voids within the shot-crete. The next phase of waterproofing was completed with the application of Drizoro Waterproof flexible render Concreseal Plastering M. This flexible render was applied at a 3-5mm thickness to ensure the durability and protection of the pools waterproofing. After curing the Concreseal Plastering M for five days, the pool was ready to be filled.
