The feeling of being able to fly above the ground is magical. The perception of speed and excitement has made the cableway one of the most popular attractions on the playground.
This spring, HAGS – Swedish manufacturer of outdoor play equipment – launches the Mantis cableway with innovative solutions that provide a more comfortable and safe experience.
Mantis is available in two lengths – 20 and 30 meters – and is designed for children from the age of 5 years and upwards. Even adults are welcome to go for a ride!
A soft and silent, yet thrilling experience, HAGS Mantis has a robust steel construction with a modern expression that resembles a stylized mantis. The major difference with Mantis lies in the user experience. The innovative construction of the cable cart is automatically held in its starting position. It is not released until a child who weighs 20 kg or more has climbed on. This makes it easy and safe to get on the Mantis, says Matthias Biek, Product Manager at HAGS.
HAGS Mantis also has effective damping in the end position that gives a soft and smooth finish to the ride. The unique design provides an entirely soundless experience which actually reinforces the feeling that you’re flying through the air, says Matthias Biek.
Installation and safety
HAGS Mantis is easy to install and requires minimal maintenance. The entire construction is less than four meters height, which means that it meets international building regulations.
When it comes to function, play value and safety, HAGS Mantis is designed in accordance with the European standard for playground equipment, EN 1176-1177. Mantis has also passed TUVs test and approval procedures.
