TREATING RISING DAMP FROM THE INSIDE

30 Sep 2021

By applying two coats of Maxseal Flex M, Scientific Waterproofing Products helped to waterproof the entrance hall of this property.

Painting contractors were faced with a severe case of rising damp in the entrance hall of a home. Waterproofing the outside of the property proved impossible as ground levels and paved areas had been set higher than the original damp course.

After analysing the situation, Scientific Waterproofing Products made the below recommendations:

  1. Removal of render to brick substrate
  2. Applying two coats of Maxseal Flex M
  3. Re-rendering and painting

Drizoro cement based waterproofing membranes are applied to wet surfaces, withstand both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure, are UV stable, with Maxseal Traffic able to withstand both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. All products carry a 10-year product warranty.

Scientific Waterproofing Products are also able to treat and waterproof against efflorescence if evident.
