The Aranmore Catholic College is a co-educational school for ages 7-12, located in Leederville in Perth, Western Australia. Earlier this year, TRCB Architects were engaged to design the refurbishment of the double storey Mann Building. The project involved the complete renovation and refurbishment of the existing 1930’s building. 

It was important that the project introduced contemporary teaching facilities and services, whilst maintaining and enhancing the original appearance and grandeur of the building.

The project was completed in two stages to allow the College to partially occupy the building as different areas became available due to the lack of temporary accommodation available on the site. The first stage involved the complete refurbishment of the home economics department, and the intensive English centre classrooms as well as the introduction of a new external western access stair.

The second stage involved the complete refurbishment of the staff facilities including individual work rooms, the staff room, kitchen and bathrooms. Additionally, the second stage included the installation of a lift, new double storey verandahs and the refurbishment of the north and south courtyards.
