The HAGS Orbit play unit provides collaborative excitement and fun for kids of all ages. With a smooth trajectory, the Orbit rotates at an angle and has a fixed centre that is used to increase the speed of rotation. Groups of kids can work together to spin the Orbit as fast as they dare.
To activate excitement, the Orbit rotates on a slight angle, encouraging users to lean back and increase thrill. 
The Orbit’s design invites kids to sit in different ways and even to stand and balance on the ring. The red mark on the centre top of the roundabout can be used as a tachometer or in the game ‘don't end up at the red mark’ when Orbit stops.
The generous dimensions of the Orbit allow for large groups of kids to spin together. it can be placed in playgrounds but also as a standalone play sculpture in a public space.
It was most recently installed at the brand-new Apex Park in Ormiston, Brisbane, and has quickly become one of the most popular features. 
The Orbit beat thousands of international products and wowed a panel of design experts in Essen, Germany, to win Red Dot Award: Product Design 2012 in the product group Outdoor, Leisure & Sport and Product Type: Playground Equipment. The Red Dot Award is an internationally-recognised quality label for outstanding design achievement and one of the world's most sought-after seals of design quality.
The Red Dot Design Award, whose origins reach back to the 1950s, is carried out in three disciplines: Product Design, Communication Design and Design Concept. The award has established itself internationally as one of the most appreciated quality seals for outstanding designs.
