THE ENDURING QUALITY OF LIMESTONE

29 Jun 2016

Jaffa Limestone’s commitment to providing beautiful and durable reconstituted limestone products forms the core of the Cape Jaffa Anchorage marina development in South Australia.

Jaffa Limestone is Adelaide’s leading provider of exceptional natural limestone blocks, bricks, pavers and more. Innovatively crafted from reconstituted limestone, Jaffa’s range of products carry the strength and durability of concrete with the natural texture and beauty of stone to provide construction materials that last.

South Australia is home to one of the best sources of quality limestone. Back in 2006 Jaffa Limestone identified a demand for superior limestone and invested heavily in research and development to produce the best quality block limestone products on the market, naturally sourced in their own backyard. Since their beginning 10 years ago Jaffa Limestone has supplied property developers, local councils, landscapers and individuals with thousands of tonnes of superior limestone blocks, bricks and pavers.

In the past few years, one of the largest projects undertaken along the South East coast of Australia was the Cape Jaffa Anchorage marina project. Recognising the quality of their product, the developers approached Jaffa Limestone to supply the heavy duty limestone wall blocks used to create the marina’s revetment walls. Their limestone pavers were also used to complete public access pathways within and around the marina.

The perfect building material for making a statement, Jaffa Limestone’s blocks were used to created the curved wall entrance to the marina, setting the tone for the whole development. In addition, large limestone pavers were used to create steps connecting houses along the waterfront to the wide paved pathways of the marina used for cycling, walking and fishing.

In public spaces within the marina project, Jaffa Limestone was used to create the walls of a number of shelters that housed barbecue areas. The limestone walls provide protection from the elements, and are strong enough to support the gabled shelters, becoming a part of the construction. Limestone blocks were also used to create small retaining walls for the facility’s garden beds.

Valuing the coastal aesthetic of limestone, Cape Jaffa residents were also eager to incorporate Jaffa Limestone products into the construction of their homes, which front the Anchorage marina. As the versatility of Jaffa’s products allows them to be used internally and externally, the residents of Cape Jaffa embraced the limestone used in the marina project, using them to construction retaining walls, pillars, feature walls and landscaping.

Add value to your construction project with a natural element that offers an elegant aesthetic that only natural limestone can provide. Visit Jaffa Limestone at www.jaffalimestone.com.au to view their extensive range of superior limestone construction materials.
