KLS Sandstone recently supplied rockfaced random shaped sandstone blocks to feature as a mantel for a residential fireplace. Michael Livisianos Master Stonemason created a design to be carved into the sandstone to bring a unique style and charm to the space.

The design was created on paper and then transferred by hand onto the blocks using hand carving tools and small grinders.

The mantel for this home fireplace was decorated with iconic Australian bush flora.

The design possibilities are endless – whether its for an interior commercial space like an office building or retail centre, or for an external landscape such as a garden retaining wall or sandstone feature. The sandstone can be embellished with location details and logos, eye-catching designs or unique symbols.

The sandstone can be shaped to meet the requirements of your space with curved edges or even into a complete sphere to act as an accent piece.
