Architecture firm Nex-Architecture collaborated with timber specialist Xylotek to create a series of three new pavilions that honour green building methods. Made from sustainably sourced thin strips of oak that form lattices, the three pavilions form a beautiful shape that encase users in timber to create a peaceful bubble to relax and gather in. Each pavilion is created for different purposes but all have a central theme of making a connection between the ground and the sky.

The first pavilion is small and quaint, providing users a perfect place for conversations and sitting within the landscape. The second pavilion is a large open play area and the largest of the three, the third pavilion, is an opened oak structure that is made as a performance space for theatre groups or musicians.

The entire site includes a variety of plant life that creates a small greenspace for users to embrace and walk through. The landscape is a great representation of sustainable building practices and how these methods along with green pockets can be incorporated into city environments.
