ICP Group’s California Sports Surfaces supplied Rebound Ace Synpave, a high-performance, all-weather acrylic system engineered for longevity in community environments. Providing strong UV resistance, slip-resistance and a durable, low-maintenance finish, Synpave delivers lasting performance while enhancing the playability of high-traffic courts in all conditions.

Dynamic Sports Facilities Australia (DSFA) was engaged by principal contractor Ford Civil to carry out the court surfacing. The final design features a striking layered colour scheme: Mid Grey surrounds, Royal Blue play zones, Tour Purple keys and centre circles, and Byron Blue three-point arcs – all selected to support visibility, player focus and visual impact. Adjacent hit-up walls, coated in Tour Purple and Tasman Blue, were completed using Rebound Ace Sports & Rec, a complementary surface system well-suited to recreational training areas and multisport use.

Together, the surface offers a resilient and visually engaging foundation for sports including basketball, netball, futsal and general play, supporting ongoing use across all levels of community activity and age groups.

The courts form part of a wider package of works underway across Rozelle Parklands being delivered for Transport for NSW. Additional upgrades include a new amenities building with change rooms, umpire facilities and provision for a canteen; a prefabricated toilet block near the children’s playground; and the installation of lighting towers around the existing sports fields. Utility works are also being carried out to support the delivery of these upgrades.

Construction commenced in August 2024, with completion expected mid-2025.
