PLAYGROUND WITH A VIEW

Commissioned by Yarra Ranges Council, Activity Playgrounds provided a complete playspace solution for Westburn Park in Westburn, Victoria. Situated in a tranquil pocket of space at the back of the park ovals, the new playground boasts vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange to brighten up the space and encourage kids to come over and play.

Activity Playgrounds developed a bespoke three-storey tower with a nine-metre bridge. The tower includes a turbo slide from the top, rock climbing panels, noughts and crosses panel, a pommel climber and a telescope at the top that allows the kids to look out at the picturesque landscape. The structure is easily accessible and friendly for little crawlers.

The playground also features a bird’s nest swing with a natural bush pole, a disc spinner, and plenty of natural elements, all supplied by Activity Playgrounds.

Behind the playspace is recreation spaces for the bigger kids, with a half basketball court and a scooter track.

Fully-landscaped, the park includes drainage, wet pour rubber under-surfacing, park furniture in the form of concrete slabs, drinking fountains and garden landscaping.
