OMNITECH'S NATURE PLAY RANGE

08 Jun 2023

Omnitech’s Nature Play range is crafted to help children explore the outdoors in a fun and safe way, encouraging imaginative and social play through the natural forms.

Spending time in nature has been shown to increase concentration and cognitive skills, as well as creating a greater connection to the surrounding environment. Between taller teepees and archways, through low level tunnels and across balancing paths, a combination of high and low elements allows children to develop skills while connecting with the environment.

The interesting natural landscape provides an organic canvas for imaginative play, enabling children to create their own stories and role play with others.

With a range of activities for all ages and abilities, including nature play elements into a playspace helps to exercise children’s social, cognitive and physical skills. Often utilising reclaimed and repurposed Ironbark and Spotted Gum timber, Omnitech’s Nature Play range can meet a variety of natural aesthetics with stained, painted and untreated finishes available.

Nature play equipment can be used on its own to create interesting playspaces or in conjunction with Omnitech play units to create more play variation and visual interest with different materials and types of activities. Natural obstacle courses can be created to encourage children to move in different ways and develop problem solving skills as they map out their path along the steppers, balancing logs and rope structures.

Timber logs and steppers can also be used along the edges of a playspace to create balancing paths that double as a resting place. Including a nature playspace set away from main play units and freestanding equipment creates a quieter space for children to explore the natural forms.

The range also includes constructed timber play units incorporating rope climbing equipment alongside steel activities. At St Andrews Reserve, children can climb and play amongst the trees on the custom unit featuring irregular shaped decks, connected by a high rope bridge and vertical rope climbing. With countless ways to incorporate natural elements into playgrounds, Omnitech can help create fun and exciting nature play areas to fit any brief.
