The City of Charles Sturt chose WillPlay to design and manufacture this incredible playspace as part of a multi-million-dollar upgrade to MJ McInerney Reserve. WillPlay supplied a variety of standard and bespoke equipment to create an all-ages play area that entices people from all over Adelaide to visit.

At over seven metres tall, the Goliath Tower is the key element of the space and was designed to include multiple climbing elements, two levels of tube slides and ground-level activities for the littlies. With specific areas designated for sand-play and a smaller TreeHouse unit for younger users, this playspace caters for all ages. The sand play area features a WillPlay SandWorks play unit and a couple of sand diggers. With the addition of a Double Cableway, this project has a real ‘wow’ factor. 

WillPlay’s designers worked closely with the City of Charles Sturt to design this area to be something for everyone. The custom colour scheme allows the system to meld into the natural surroundings while still appearing enticing from the park entrance. The purple highlights were chosen to represent and highlight the beautiful Jacarandas flowers that are abundant in the surrounding area. 

All equipment supplied and installed by WillPlay is manufactured in Australia and features extensive use of premium materials, including aluminium structural posts, stainless steel framework and Australian sourced recycled plastics. With the addition of stainless-steel fasteners, the entire WillPlay range meets the criteria for coastal use in the harshest of conditions.
