When visitors to Melbourne’s Star Observation Wheel were being affected by the weather, Yarra Shade was called in to provide a solution.

With no cover or protection from the elements, the walkway of the tourist attraction needed both a practical and visually pleasing solution so that people entering and exiting the gift shop could do so comfortably no matter what the weather.

That solution came in the form of a Stratco Outback Flat Cooldeck.

A major issue encountered during the installation was the time at which the install could take place. Installers could not work during the day as the wheel could not be stopped and no restrictions to patrons were permitted. This meant that installation had to occur during the night, between 10pm and 10am.

Yarra Shade worked closely with the facility to ensure minimal disruption, with both stages of the installation going to plan – and the end result – nothing short of successful.
