With Futurewood’s new specially designed aluminium joist and low-height adjustable pedestal subframe landscapers can easily install a beautiful, low-maintenance, CleverDeck composite timber deck over the top of any ugly concrete patio.
The combination of the low-height aluminium joist and pedestal allows for installations over rough concrete or old pavers down as low as 66mm, allowing installers to match the height of the outside deck to the internal floor without the need for a step. It works even better if you have doors that open out over the patio, as traditional framing would be too high and would not allow the doors to open otherwise.
Futurewood’s low-height subframe and decking solution is available with different size adjustable pedestals that allow you to cover a range of different heights and easily achieve a level deck, or a slight fall away from the house.
This simple solution is very cost effective compared to a traditional decking subframe. And, where there is more height available, you can substitute a treated pine joist for greater spans (less pedestals) for added cost savings.
