GARDEN DESIGNFEST

01 Oct 2010

The Kew Rotary Club present Garden DesignFest 2010 open garden weekend on November 13 & 14, 2010 in association with some of Melbourne's most notable landscape designers.

The Kew Rotary Club proudly present Garden DesignFest 2010 open garden weekend in association with some of Melbourne's most notable landscape designers on November 13 and 14, 2010.

Garden DesignFest 2010 is now a major biennial event on Victoria’s spring gardening calendar. It presents an amazing opportunity for gardeners and horticultural professionals to visit 27 stunning privately owned and professionally designed gardens open across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula - all in a single weekend.

Enjoy a stroll through a magnificent array of garden styles and sizes, from a breathtaking Mediterranean inspired coastal retreat to an intimate series of city courtyards – there are gardens on offer to suit every taste and budget, from the traditional to cutting edge trends in landscape design. Gather ideas, take notes and as a unique feature of this event discuss your design issues with Melbourne’s talented designers who will all be on hand to meet, greet and assist you in their respective designed gardens over the open weekend. Participating designers include Paul Bangay, John Patrick, Rick Eckersley, Jim Fogarty, Andrew Laidlaw and many other inspirational established and emerging landscape designers.

All proceeds raised are donated to selected charities (see website for list of beneficiaries) and the event’s major sponsor is Anston Paving Stones, Australia’s first carbon neutral paving manufacturer (www.anston.com.au).

Freshly brewed coffee, food tastings, diamond jewellery raffle, metal art and giveaways are all part of this exciting open garden weekend.
