EYE-CATCHING MESH TRELLIS MAKES A STATEMENT

ASB North Wharf is an international benchmark in sustainable building that mirrors its owner’s focus on the principles of innovation, teamwork, and sustainability.  The building includes a glazed multi-level walkway over a central public lane, which facilitates pedestrian connectivity and is the central component of an interconnected public/private space. 

The laneway features an attractive green façade with plants supported from a tensioned curtain of stainless steel X-Tend® mesh of 100mm aperture and 2mm cable diameter. The curtain provides a refreshing and natural green feature that can be seen from the adjacent offices.  Designed by BVN Donavan Hill in association with Jasmax, the green façade was one of many features which contributed to the building’s NZGBC 5-star Green Star rating.
