DECKING WITH A DIFFERENCE

Reimagine the classic Australian deck for today’s lifestyle with this unique aluminium decking system.

Quintessentially Australian, timber decking is loved for its warmth and natural beauty. However, with today’s busy lifestyles, maintaining a timber deck can often fall by the wayside, leaving a beautiful decking looking unsightly and vulnerable to warping, rot, or worse, termites. Add to that the risk of slips and trips in wet weather and the strict requirements around building in bushfire zones, timber decks have now become a less-than-practical choice.

It’s no surprise designers, specifiers and homeowners alike are seeking a low-maintenance decking alternative – something that can still achieve that classic timber aesthetic, without the hazards and the hassle of traditional decking materials.

Made from durable, dimensionally stable aluminium, DecoDeck® from DECO Australia is the solution that has it all – the beautiful timber appearance, effortless to maintain, easy to install and also bushfire safe (BAL FZ rated).

Finished in the premium Super Durable™ DecoWood® finish, DecoDeck® replicates the natural beauty of timber. The DecoWood® colour series offers a range of native, exotic and contemporary timber finishes, with over 15 decking finishes available to suit a wide range of styles and decors.

Thanks to the durable finish, DecoDeck® requires no staining, painting, or oiling – offering a low maintenance decking solution ideal for large areas or commercial spaces. The finish is also specially formulated for slip resistance, achieving a P4 rating that makes it suitable for use around pools and spas, and safe to walk on even in wet weather.

Made from solid aluminium, DecoDeck® is 100 percent non-combustible and is suitable for building in a bushfire zone. Optional cover strips to close the gaps between boards allow the decking system to be installed in BAL Flame Zone areas. Also compliant with AS 1530.1 and AS 1530.3 for fire safety, DecoDeck® also makes a great choice of outdoor decking around barbecue areas.

DecoDeck® is available in two board widths – 94cm and 134cm – with a fixed 6mm gap between the boards, making it easy to calculate the materials required. Thanks to the durable and strong aluminium boards, DecoDeck® can be laid over 600mm joist (compared to 450mm for timber), and the DecoDeck® joiner allows decking boards to be connected between joists for 100 percent material utilisation. Other accessories available include colour-matched end caps, cover strips to fill gaps between decking boards, and channels for seamless edging.

Low-maintenance, durable and with the timeless appeal of a classic Australian timber deck, DecoDeck® is the versatile decking system suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial applications.

DECO Australia will also be exhibiting at the upcoming Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show – visit them and see the full product range on display.
