Working alongside Mosman-based landscape design company, Exotic Living, KLS Sandstone supplied ballast blocks and sandstone paving to two recent projects. The ballast blocks were used to form a retaining wall in a residential landscape and were hand finished into various sizes of rectangular and square shapes to create a casual yet uniform look for the retaining wall. Ballast blocks are highly versatile and can be used in various applications due to its solid stone form. Commonly used to create walls or fireplaces, ballast blocks can be cut to size and moved around a site easily.

The KLS Sandstone team also supplied sandstone paving to a residential native gardenscape. The natural colour palette of the sandstone looks right at home surrounded by native plant life. Flagging stones were used to create the paving for its textured finish and non-slip features. Once sealed, the sandstone paving will be easy-to-maintain and will age with time and continue to thrive in its surroundings.
