CONTRACTOR TRAINING EXPERIENCE AT NEW CAPYBARA ENCLOSURE

24 Mar 2022

Aquascape Australia, the sole distributor of Aquascape Inc. pond and water feature products in Australia, recently provided a valuable training experience for potential new contractors while building a new Capybara enclosure at Wildlife HQ Zoo.

Wildlife HQ Zoo on the Sunshine Coast has undergone recent renovations in numerous areas of animal enclosures and outdoor spaces. Aquascape Australia has installed several low-maintenance Pondless water features into animal enclosures, specifically the new Capybara enclosure. The partnership with the zoo not only benefitted the animal life but facilitated a contractor training experience for the Certified Aquascape Contractors (CAC). By providing hands-on training to potential new contractors from professionals, Aquascapes was able to install an Aquascape ecosystem pond and waterfall to the Capybara enclosure. aquascapes

The five-day advanced training build was advertised to the Aquascape’s network and 15 contractors from around Australia attended. The contractors were set to learn and build an Aquascape pond, wetland filtration, beach entry and a negative edge reservoir.

After a challenging five days the team finished the construction and were able to provide a spectacular new pond for Capybara’s to enjoy. Especially the new baby Capybara named Chip. This renovation to the enclosure was beneficial to the lifestyle of Capybara’s who in the wild spend over 50 percent of their day in the water. aquascapes

Aquascape Australia is facilitating a great opportunity for contractors Australia-wide to learn specific construction techniques in a range of methods such as digging, rock slinging, placement and waterfall creation using products from Aquascape. Attending this type of hands on training and working with mentors is required to become a CAC. aquascapes
