Concept to Construction

Designed for arboricultural professionals, the Institute of Australian Consulting Arboricuturists’ (IACA) Concept to Construction forum provides a detailed overview of the role of the Arborist in urban development – from planning to construction.

With a wide range of speakers from a variety of interrelated professions, including surveying, architecture, project management, local government and engineering, the forum will give insight into the development process and how plans translate to reality, with a focus on trees and the role of the arboriculturalist.

Topics cover:

  • Which way is North?
  • When the layout is only a concept
  • When the idea is reality (almost)
  • What trees?
  • Don’t be fooled by cut and fill!
  • But the plans are perfect!
  • But these plans have been approved!

Speakers include:

Murray Learmont | CMS Surveyors
Lachlan Rowe | TSK Architects
Gwilym Griffiths | Inner West Council
Catriona Mackenzie | Urban Forestry Australia
Russell Kosko | Cityof Sydney Council
Kamal Asadkamal | Brookfield Multiplex
Mark Ibrahim | Ibrahim Stormwater Consultants

To be held at the Rydges Hotel in Parramatta, the IACA Concept to Construction forum will take place on Friday 7 July.
