Inspired by the Australian classic books Snugglepot and Cuddle Pie, the new Bush Baby Play range is perfect for creating imaginative play environments.
The new Bush Baby Play range of equipment and furniture by Jungle Play was inspired by the iconic Snugglepot and Cuddle Pie books penned by celebrated Australian author, May Gibbs.
Gum Leaf Pod Playhouses, Gum Leaf Benches, Gum Blossom Stools and Gumnut Armchairs and Climbers are all part of the collection that will soon expand to include leaf slides, swings and boats.
These botanically-inspired play sculptures can be arranged in a variety of configurations and combined with other items from our Art for Play range to create uniquely Australian, imaginative play environments.
The Gum Leaf Park Bench was inspired by the magnificent Australian Swamp Bloodwood tree. A giant leaf is elegantly curled to create the perfect, ergonomic seat to accommodate four adults or children. This seat is made in two sizes: adult (2.5m) and child (1.5m) and is available in either gum leaf green or rich Autumnal colours.
The Gum Leaf Pod Playhouse is already immensely popular with kids and playspace designers alike. Elegantly interwoven sculptural Swamp Bloodwood leaves make up the Pod Playhouse both inside and out. The Pod features large internal leaf-shaped bench seats to comfortably accommodate up to 10 children. The Play Pod is perfect for storytelling, quiet reading or imaginative play.
The Gumnut Armchair and Climber can be used as a free-standing or fixed chair for adults and children. It can also be used as a climber to stimulate interactive and imaginative play for budding bush babies. The Gumnut Armchair is also available in child size.
Also featured in the Bush Baby Play Range are sculptural Gum Blossoms that can be used as either stools, steppers or both. Available in yellow and dark red, these depict the spectacular blossoms of two iconic Australian flowering gum species. These stools and steppers are 300mm high with 50mm allowance for rubber or turf. A larger, adult size Gum Blossom Stool is also available.
Made from fibreglass with an internal steel armature and finished in polyurethane paint and a graffiti-proof varnish, all of the items in the Bush Baby Play range are suitable for use in parks and public spaces, indoor/outdoor retail environments and domestic gardens.
