Accessibility Upgrades to Manly Dam

Manly Warringah War Memorial State Park, also known as Manly Dam, is Sydney’s largest freshwater lake and one of the Northern Beaches best kept secrets.  

Council has upgraded almost 400 m of the popular walking trail around Manly Dam and built an elevated boardwalk and several viewing platforms to protect flora and fauna, while improving accessibility between popular picnic spots.

The trail is now easier for all people to access, including children, older adults and people using wheelchairs. The trail has been designed to fit with the terrain and is sensitive to the existing natural environment – ensuring threatened species are protected.
