2015 NGIA AWARDS

06 Aug 2014

Entries for the 2015 Nursery & Garden Awards open on August 11 and will celebrate 21 years of recognising the best businesses in the industry.

Entries for the Nursery & Garden Awards open August 11, 2014 and are shaping up to be better than ever.

Recognising a need to focus the awards criteria on exceptional whole of business performance, the Awards Review Committee has introduced a new suite of categories and criteria for the 2015 program.

In the 21 years the awards have been celebrated the industry has seen them evolve over time to maintain their relevance to industry and current business practices.  The result of this year’s review has seen two great advancements for entrants submitting in the 2015 program.

Firstly, the Nursery & Garden business awards will now align to international standards which will highlight our professionalism globally.

Secondly, for the first time in 2015, the awards will celebrate an inaugural pinnacle award, recognising the Industry Business of the Year.

We also see the return of two famous categories - the Environment Award and the Marketing Award. The whole program is supported by a faster, easy-to-use entry system – an impressive birthday gift for the coming of age of our industry’s event of excellence.

Greenlife Infrastructure AwardContinuing to support the industry’s vision of 20% more greenlife in urban environments by 2020, the Greenlife Infrastructure Award also returns in 2015. Proudly sponsored by Outdoor Design Source, the Greenlife Infrastructure Award is open to all Urban Planners, Local Councils, Architects, Developers or similar operations and recognises their contribution to promoting a thriving, sustainable and diverse Australian Urban Forest.

Judges will consider the unique attributes for which each project is intended and in particular, how it contributes to a healthy ecosystem that is valued and cared for by all Australians.

Judges will also assess how the greenlife specified in the project has evolved into an environmental, economic, and community asset.
