Sprint Horticulture is a supplier of starter plants for the    landscape industry. Our products are sold under the well-known DESIGN EDGE® brand through distributors Australia-wide.

Sprint focuses on plants that are utilised for understorey mass planting. The DESIGN EDGE® range includes hybrids of Australian Dianella and Lomandra, Carex Oshimensis and Cordyline ‘Electric Pink’. Also included is a non-invasive Gazania hybrid called ‘Dynamo’, which is male sterile and poses almost zero-weed risk compared to common Gazania species that can infiltrate local ecosystems because of their massive seed set.

COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE

Plants are available in a range of sizes from 162 cell trays through to 20cm pots, however most production is in 14cm pots.

PROJECTS

Dianella ‘Streetscape’ and Gazania ‘Dynamo’ planted by Shoalhaven City Council, NSW (uppermost image). By using ‘Streetscape’, high visibility is maintained on the pedestrian refuge island. Gazania ‘Dynamo’ formed a dense blanket of flower-covered grey-green foliage.
