• Blaze™ Dianella is heat tolerant and will turn green in summer to cope with Australia’s famous hot summers.
• Depending on where in Australia the Blaze™ plant is grown, it can have deep purple throughout its foliage for most of the year. In cold climates, it will have this beautiful foliage often through to the beginning of summer.
• Bred from the legendary, super tough Tasred® Dianella.
• In SA and WA, Blaze™ Dianella is so heat tolerant that it is poised to replace Phormiums and Cordylines that quite often burn in the hot sun.
• In Western Sydney it is best used in shade only, but can be used in full sun in climates like the Blue Mountains. Blaze™ Dianella will need irrigation closer to the coast in dry summers. It is performing better compared to Phormium.
