WHERE LEARNING BEGINS THROUGH PLAY

06 Nov 2025

The new toddler playground at Spring Street playground is an oasis of fun and discovery, where little ones begin their journey of playful learning with Proludic's play structures.

Before words and structured learning, play is how children communicate, experiment, and make sense of the world around them. Every playful moment shapes development, building confidence, coordination, creativity and social-emotional skills. The first five years are a time of extraordinary growth and play lies at the heart of it all, laying the foundations for learning, connection and lifelong curiosity.

BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR GROWTH

In these early years, every playful moment is a chance to learn and grow. Climbing, balancing and swinging help little bodies get stronger and more coordinated, while sensory and imaginative play spark curiosity, problem-solving and creativity. Playing alongside others also teaches toddlers important social skills like sharing, taking turns and understanding emotions.

LEARNING THROUGH THE SENSES

Toddlers discover the world through touch, sight, sound and movement. Bright colours, interesting textures and playful sounds turn every corner of a playground into an invitation to explore. Gentle movement experiences - like balance beams, low steps, and little swings - help children find their balance, build coordination and understand space, all while having fun and feeling confident in their bodies.

Wobbly Mirror

A PLAYSPACE DESIGNED FOR GROWING FAMILIES

Spring Street playground was thoughtfully updated by Woollahra Council to provide a safe, modern and welcoming space where toddlers can explore, play and connect. Created especially for young children and their families, the playground features engaging sensory elements such as Proludic's Abacus Panel, Mirrored Play Panel and Sensory Flowers that invite little hands to spin, count and discover.

At the heart of the upgraded space, Proludic's award-winning Diabolo Baby multiplay unit offers endless opportunities for movement, imagination and shared play through its low platforms, slides and activity panels. Complementary balancing items like the Japanese Steps and Balance Beams further support toddlers as they develop strength and coordination. Shaded seating, secure fencing and clear sightlines provide comfort and peace of mind for parents, making the reserve a much-loved destination for local families.

SPACES THAT GROW WITH CHILDREN

Playgrounds designed for toddlers do more than entertain, they give children the freedom to learn, explore and connect at their own pace. Local families love spaces like Spring Street playground, where one parent shared, “It’s the perfect place for our mothers’ group, safe, calm and just right for our little ones who are learning to explore.”

By creating environments that encourage movement, imagination and social play, communities are helping children grow strong, curious and ready to take on the world. Because play is more than fun—it’s the foundation of every child’s learning journey.
