Penfold Projects’ Sunshine Coast team recently had the pleasure of working with Hutchinson Builders on Youi Insurance’s high-profile state-of-the-art headquarters in Sippy Downs, which involved the construction and planting of the outdoor plaza, recreational facilities and park.
Designed by Place Design Group, the first stage of the brand-new Youi Headquarters sits over 15,000sqm, accommodating up to 1700 staff members. The project has paved way for countless new jobs and is a huge boost to the Sunshine Coast’s economic prospects.
Designed with the temperate climate of the Sunshine Coast and southeast Queensland in mind, the Penfold Projects team installed a lush green contemporary space, with a subtropical planting palette for the Youi staff and local community. 
Tiered turfed areas were constructed to encourage outdoor events and entertainment, as well as to provide plenty of seating areas for all users to enjoy. The work completed by Penfold Projects at Youi Headquarters included a series of concreting for pavements, stairs, and walls, softscaping, streetscaping, and the supply and install of irrigation and furniture. 
The team flexed their skills in an array of hardscaping techniques for the large-scale concreting involved on this project. These techniques included (but are not limited to) precast, formed, and poured concrete in a variety of finishes and colours. Penfold Projects also sourced, transported and planted a series of large ex-ground tree specimens to the project. 
With the Youi Headquarters project spanning over six months, Penfold Projects is proud to announce that they delivered expert service on time and to budget. This venture has been an opportunity for the team at Penfold Projects to showcase their expert construction technique, landscaping ability, and high-quality finishes that will be viewed and used by the Youi staff and local Sunshine Coast community.

The project has since been handed over to the company’s maintenance partner, Hedge Landscape Management, for post-construction care.
